Car Valeting Estimate Template
Some valeting jobs cannot be priced properly until you have seen the car: paint correction, smoke odour, mould, or an interior that has been neglected for years. An estimate gives the customer a realistic figure while making clear that the final price depends on what you find.
For paint correction, estimate from the number of stages you expect and the hours they take, and explain that a test section will confirm what is achievable. For heavily soiled interiors, give a base price and a likely upper figure.
Agree the limit before you start, and confirm the final price once the test section or first clean is done. Say what is excluded, such as scratches through the clear coat or permanent stains, so the result is judged against realistic expectations.
What to include in a car valeting estimate
- Your business details, the customer and the job location
- Vehicle registration, make, model and size band
- The condition you observed, with photos taken
- Proposed work: correction stages, interior treatments
- Estimated hours and a price range
- A note that a test section will confirm the final result
- What is excluded, such as deep scratches or permanent stains
- A clear statement that this is an estimate, with a validity date

Why give an estimate rather than a quote for paint correction?
Paint depth, hardness and defect severity vary from car to car, and you cannot know how many stages are needed until you test a section. An estimate with a range is more honest than a fixed price you might not be able to keep.
Should I take photos before starting?
Yes. Before photos record the condition the car arrived in, support your estimate and protect you if a customer later questions existing damage.
What should a valeting estimate exclude?
Say what you cannot fix: scratches through the clear coat, stone chips that need paint, or permanent stains. Customers then judge the result against realistic expectations.

You have got the paperwork. The website is the other half.
These templates make your quote look right. If it arrives from a Facebook page, or from nothing at all, that undoes some of the work. CGI Web Services builds a one page trade website for £99, then £14.99 a month to host it and keep it working. Same people who built this site.
