Itemise labour and materials
Customers trust a quote they can follow. Splitting labour, materials and any extras such as waste disposal shows where the money goes and cuts down on haggling later.

Always set a validity date
Material prices move. A valid-until date of 30 days protects you from being held to an old price and gives the customer a gentle reason to decide.

Keep quote numbers sequential
A simple run of numbers (Q-0001, Q-0002 and so on) makes quotes easy to find when a customer calls back months later, and keeps your records tidy for the accountant.

Is the quote generator really free?
Yes. There is no account, no trial period and no watermark on the document. The tool is funded by sales of the optional Pro Pack templates, so the generator itself stays free.
Does anything I type get uploaded or stored on a server?
No. The generator runs entirely in your web browser. Your business details, currency and tax label are saved in your browser's local storage so they are there next time, but nothing is ever sent to us or anyone else. Clearing your browser data removes it completely.
How do I turn my quote into a PDF?
Click Download PDF. Your browser's print dialog opens with only the quote visible. Choose Save as PDF (or Print to PDF) as the destination and save the file. You can then email it or print a hard copy.
Can I add my logo, tax number and terms?
Yes. You can add a logo (previewed locally, never uploaded), an optional VAT or tax number, your own tax label and rate, a discount, and your own notes and terms. Sensible default wording is already filled in for you to edit.
